~Meet Ruth, Founder & Floral Designer

Papaver Studio is a Buckinghamshire-based floral design studio led by Ruth Warren-Steed, creating bespoke floral designs for weddings, events, celebrations and special occasions across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds, London and the wider Home Counties.

With almost two decades of experience in London’s luxury floristry industry, Ruth brings a wealth of experience, creativity and a genuine love of flowers to every commission.

Papaver Studio was created from a desire to create flowers that feel personal, beautiful and full of life — floral designs that complement the character of a venue, reflect the people and occasion at the heart of an event, and make a lasting impression.

Whether you’re planning a wedding, private celebration, dinner, party, brand event, corporate gathering or special occasion, Ruth works closely with you to develop a floral design that feels completely personal to the occasion.

From an intimate dinner table or seasonal arrangement to large-scale event florals and wedding installations, every project is approached individually.

For weddings, this can include bridal bouquets, bridesmaid flowers, buttonholes, ceremony flowers, aisle arrangements, wedding breakfast flowers, table designs and statement floral installations.

For events and celebrations, Papaver Studio creates everything from centrepieces and table flowers to entrance arrangements, installations, statement displays and flowers designed specifically around a venue, occasion or brand.

Papaver Studio flowers are romantic, abundant and naturally beautiful, with an emphasis on movement, texture and seasonal character.

We love flowers that don’t feel overly formal or traditional. Garden roses, dahlias, sweet peas, cosmos, seasonal foliage and unusual flowers are combined with thoughtful colour palettes and natural, organic forms and given a modern edge.

Thoughtful floristry

Whenever possible, Papaver Studio works with seasonal and British-grown flowers, supporting local growers and embracing the natural beauty of each season.

We also avoid traditional floral foam wherever possible, using reusable and more environmentally conscious mechanics instead, and consider ways to reduce waste throughout the design and installation process.

For us, sustainability is about making thoughtful choices wherever we can, while continuing to create abundant, romantic and beautiful floral designs.
